The Northern Air Temple

The Northern Air temple which is located at the tip of the Earth Nation rests a top one large mountain top. In the past, this temple was inhabited only by male airbenders, but was later integrated to increase population.

The Southern Air Temple sits upon a large mountain top not far from the South Pole. It houses many air benders and nomads along with many non benders.

The Eastern Air Temple

The Eastern Air temple rests upon three large mountain tops connected by two bridges to the center mountain top. In ancient times, this temple was one of two that only housed female benders but is currently open to all genders.

The Western Air Temple

The Western Air Temple was located in the mountains north of the Fire Nation, and was one of the two temples that exclusively housed female Air Nomads. The temple is notable in that, unlike the other three temples, it is situated underneath the edge of a cliff instead of atop a mountain. The spires seem as though they were built upside-down, and because of that, the temple is hidden to the passersby.
