Fire Lord Huo [Flashback - Training]

It was the second week Raizo had learned of his true potential and what he was destined to become. The Master of all Four elements..The being who would keep peace and balance between the four nations. The Avatar. Well, to him he saw it as another status. Something he could use to make the people mind all their attention towards him. Yes..Raizo, the might Avatar! Come show your blessings to him! Show him with attention! Oh the thoughts themselves would make the boy laugh under his breath, as he found himself infront of two massive doors. Behind him were three older men dressed in Fire Sage uniforms. They had been overlooking his progress as a fire bender and was now bringing him to the Lord to take witness to the said progress. With narrowed eyes, Raizo would stare up at the giant steel doors before they'd be pressed open to allow entry. Walking into the large war room, flames would be seen against the far wall that held a throne. The three older fire sages would bow their heads in respect, but Raizo would simply cross his arms over his chest. "Avatar Raizo bows to no man. Hehe..I could get used to this Avatar job." Amber eyes narrowing, the Avatar would shift his gaze to their corners while puckering a lip. His had a long ways to go before becoming a full fledged Avatar..His immaturity was the main thing getting in the way. Well, after his cockiness of course. Raizo believed the sun revolved around him, and with this new title under his belt he would abuse it to make sure it was true. He had some growing up to do..and hopefully through his training of learning all four elements, he'd grow from a boy into a man.

Sputters of indignation were silenced as the man who led the entire brunt of the Fire Nation stared out upon the harbor. His soft smiling face calming all protests as his left hand raised in silence. Returning it behind his back he continued to watch the daily lives of his subjects, the people of the Fire Nation enjoying the bright sunny day that the gods had blessed them with. The local market seemed to have a wide variety of wares that caught the peoples attention as the poor man who ran it seemed to be swamped with orders. Reminding himself to send one of his servants to the market later he finally turned to face the young boy. He gave the boy a cool appraising gaze, no more than a glance yet took in much more information in that glance that should have been absorbed. The obvious tell signs of youth and inexperience showing in the boys cocky smile. The blatant disrespect he gave his elders from the glowering looks he received from his escort. The general lack of skill from the slouch of his posture. The boy looked almost like himself if he hadn't been born into royalty.

He talked down from his dais, the window covers sliding closed behind him as he nodded to his servants, vassals, and generals. The elders around the boy still bowed before him. Clearing his throat the three men whisper their praise before backing away, the room clearing itself of people as the man continues to approach the map deck. Staring at it, he allowed the calming silence to sink in, his eyes studying routes, trails, and locations that he had memorized decades before. His patience was unwavering however he knew he was probably grating on the young mans nerves. Giving out a soft smile he chuckled, "Welcome Avatar Raizo... such a powerful name given to such a diminutive boy. I'm quite surprised that you are my Avatar. However that does not mean I am not honored to meet you" giving the boy a curt yet scathing boy he returned to his full height, the intelligence hidden within the mans dark red eyes told volumes of his current opinion of the boy.

"I hope you are finding the teachers here helpful, I'm sorry I have not been able to observe you training but you have to understand that as the Emperor of this great nation, something as... noteworthy as the Avatar's training is still not on the top of my list. That being said I would still like to observe how far you have progressed since you began training." Turning to finally give the boy his attention, his bright calming smile met the boy, as thought he hadn't just subtlety insulted the younger boys importance. Nodding he walked off, heading more to the outer courtyard of the war room to prepare for the subsequent test that was to be preformed.

Diminutive? What the hell was this guy, a walking dictionary? The words caused Raizo to raise a brow towards the man that downplayed his status with a smile. What was he even playing at with such words? Keeping his arms crossed upon his chest, Raizo would look towards the wall with a nonchalant gaze. "You don't sound to grateful having me as your Avatar. I'm supposed to bring balance and peace to your lands, just incase some bad asses try to storm in here and take over. I thought you would be alittle more inviting, Old Man." The young Avatar would raise a finger and pull the skin down under his right eye, while sticking out a tongue. So immature. Removing the facial expression, Raizo would begin to answer the next question the man would ask. "The teachers are decent at best. I've beaten all three of them. I would have hoped the symbol of the Fire Nation would overlook my progress with atleast one eye. Though, maybe you didn't because you didn't want to get embarrassed by my natural skill. That's cool that's cool. I don't blame you. My fire bending is pretty awesome!..and I learned a few tricks along the way aswell..So I guess I could give you a short demonstration of the power of your Avatar." His cocky voice would match his overall stature as he rubbed a finger under his nose with a smug smile. Extending an arm out infront of his body, he'd stick out his pointer and middle finger while balling the rest of his fist. "Get ready for a show, Old Man Fire Head."

A sudden crackle would start to surround the boy as sparks focused upon his two fingers. Staggering his stance, he would begin to bend his arm at the elbow while dragging his hand down across his waist line, and then back up towards his shoulder. With a deep breath, the Avatar would suddenly spin of his foot, bringing his body into a twirl, before pointing his fingers towards the corner of the room. The lightning would shoot from his fingers and pierce into the corner, causing a flash of light and power to occur soon after. Exhaling, Raizo would close his eyes. He'd suddenly send out two bicycle kicks towards the wall, unleashing two balls of fire, before landing and sending a straight forward punch with a stream of fire emitting from it. Ending the stream, he'd use his acrobatic skill to flip into the air and send an axe kick towards the ground; releasing a flame that would hit the earth and then disperse into a blaze around him. Moving both hands against his cheeks, he'd inhale while lowering his head towards the ground, and then suddenly exhaling towards the ceiling to release a large blast of fire into the air.

With this all done, he'd cover his mouth with one hand while bowing his head. "I call that "The life and times of Avatar Raizo", series one..Fire Bending like a pro. The lightning made it special edition though." The boy's smug smile would return as he'd look towards the three fire sages. They were trying to teach him some restraint, but that display surely showed their methods were not working.

Techniques:

Hearing the boy bark off at the mouth about nothing in particular, the elder man slowly turned back to face him. Eyebrow raised and eyes focused he watched the boy strut his feathers, a small dusty smirk playing across his face as the boy simply showed no restraint at all. He watched the boy dance around on the balls of his feet, taking the typical fire bending stance before spinning on foot and thrusting his hands outwards. The corner he aimed at was luckily not occupied by any important instruments, else the man would have likely burned the boy to death. The light show gained the boy a few points, though those were instantly deducted simply because he preformed them inside his War Room. Hands clasped behind his back, he watched the boy step back out of his Lightning stance and proceed to perform a few Fire Kata, the speed he had was admirable. Such youth was truthfully a blessing, but his accuracy and energy waste was clearly visible.

Shaking his head he whipped out his hand taking all of the fire in the room that the boy had just created before forming a rather small ball with it. Barely stepping out of his own standing stance, his hand flowed like that of a water bender, the flames whipping about without ever touching or burning a single thing in the room. His eyes blazing with power he maneuvered the flames out the open door and let them disperse into the wind before turning back to face the boy his hands still clasped behind his back. Silence reigned over them both once again before the boy broke it with his insistent cheering as though he accomplished something other than making an ass out of himself. The boys ego would be the death of him one day.

"If your quite done, I'd like to return to our schedule. I have much to do that doesn't involve babysitting young Avatars..." With that he stepped out into the open field, not bothering to take in the young boys expression before reveling in the calm warm afternoon breeze. The bright orange disc of the sun was just perched over the rim of one of the larger smoking volcanoes in the distance. The grass waved in the breeze, sometimes stretching over the cobbled path that lead to the fountain in the middle of the gardens. The benches and training equipment were placed randomly around the garden and seemed to give it substance as the guards that were currently there quickly shuffled to the side and bowed before their leader, interrupting their own training to pay their respects as the elder man stepped over to the rim before turning to face the opening, the calm look on his face never moving as he waited for the young Avatar to appear.

"Babysitting young Avatars? I could have sworn this was a retirement home with all the old people I see walking around. Thought I was entertaining you before your nap." The immature bender would cross his arms over his chest while looking towards the man who made his way out the door. Man Raizo didn't like this guy..How'd someone like him become Fire Lord which such a bland condescending personality like that?! Shaking his head, he'd walk out the door and stand abit to the side of the Fire Lord. His amber eyes never left the man's body, as he kept his arms folded over his chest. "So I'm supposedly supposed to leave the nation and train the other elements now that I have fire down. The three sages believe I should follow the cycle and learn air bending first..However, I find Earth Bending to be abit easier, so I was going to go there first regardless." Raizo would left the palm of his hand before forming a fire ball within it, and letting it dance in the sun. "The Fire Sages told me that the other nations have Avatars aswell..Do you know anything about this?" The Flame Avatar was interested in this, simply because he wanted to know if he had competition out there. Competition to be the best Avatar of course, which he already believed he was. Even without the other elements under his belt, he knew he had the skills to throw down with the big dogs with just fire and lightning. Though, this was his cockiness speaking. An Avatar didn't just travel across the world to learn all the elements. They also traveled to learn tradition and cultures to maintain true balance between the lands. This was something Raizo would need to learn the hard way on his journey.

Blinking away the insult he chuckled heartily at the young avatars childish attitude, not once being offended he watched the boy grumble and slouch due to not gaining any real attention from the Fire Lord, not that he knew that no one really gained any attention from the man. In fact you'd have to invade, burn his country down, and spit in his face, all in that exact order by the way, just to get more than a surprised chuckle out of him. Nodding, he listened to the boy's explanation of the Great Sages findings, already having been informed it was good to hear that the pretentious boy was at least considering his elders words rather than dismissing them as he seemed to readily do on an everyday occurrence.

"Ah yes..." he calmly replied to the boys question on the other avatars, "It seems that the great spirit of the previous avatar not only manifested in you Raizo but in three others. I do not know their names as of yet, but there have already been celebrations for those who bear the title of Avatar in their nations. It seems that they are more welcomed than you which I doubt has to do with your... colorful attitude" The mans smile never faded, his eyes actually closed now as he felt the breeze grow stronger, the wind ruffling his emperor robes slightly causing them to wave in the wind. He softly hummed a song as he went over several chess strategies in his head, mind no longer paying attention to the world around him as it seemed that nothing of importance was going to happen today.
