Agni Kai! [All Fire Benders 1v1 - Spectators]

As expected Katsuro's knives were in fact blocked. However it stopped his opponent from moving, also caused him to focus on a quick defense. This allowed Katsuro too move up another yard uncontested. Suddenly the slab of earth launched itself towards Katsuro. A counterattack more than likely to keep the pressure on him, and hopefully the avatar safe. However the dimensions of the attack were nothing too large. With the past two attacks now out of the way and no longer a danger Katsuro felt it safe to stop his right advance. Luckily for him the slab had to move more than ten feet in the time he had to move approximately seven. Moving directly across the field to his left at a quicker pace than before, the slab passed by Katsuro with one and a half feet of room between them. The entire time keeping a careful eye on the movements of his opponent. With this match clearly lasting longer and the distance between them getting shorter the crowd began to roar. More than likely for the avatar however, he was the more popular and Katsuro had yet to even go on an offensive as of yet. The two floating rocks were clearly a danger, however he had to keep use them eventually. Katsuro would definitely be weary of that. A quick cautious few steps while opening his right hand and thrusting it forward once more would send three more blades. This time the aim was his knee's, trying to keep him on the defensive, trying to keep his counterattacks simple and disallowing him time to get something more massive off such as what he had done with his fire bending. Katsuro's cautious steps were done fully ready to have to dodge some form of retaliation, but if successful they would move him one more foot inwards. This of course would put them at seventeen feet away from each other.

Launching himself into the air like an acrobat, Raizo would launch over the blades and kick a leg out to send the first piece of earth right towards the opponent's chest. Extending his other hand, it press onto the other slab of earth, pulling his body up into a handstand upon it. Once again, he was showing off to the crowd. Spinning on his hands with complete control, he'd bend himself at the waist so his feet would come down on the edge of the slab and send it flying towards the opponent a few seconds behind the first. The maneuver would cause him to fall on his back side, forcing him to continue rolling to the left and towards the edge of the arena even more. His amber eyes watching the opponent the entire time, Raizo would begin to start laughing to himself during the display. Surely the crowd was loving it at this point! "Now I'm going to show you some pro air bending! I hope you're ready!" As he yelled this out, his three fire bending masters would stand in their seats. They had never seen him air bend before..Actually they believed he couldn't. They were completely right. However, after an encounter with a certain female a day before, Raizo believed he was a natural at air bending aswell. Shooting forward, Raizo would launch himself after a few controlled flips to dodge attacks, and would then come down with a kick meant to be a massive gust of wind..to his dismay, nothing came out..No air bending..instead, it left him completely open for attack..The look on his face was one of confusion..complete and utter confusion.

The chance that Katsuro had been waiting for suddenly presented itself. His opponent committed to a move that would allow him to start of a chain of combo's. Hopefully this would work him within active range of the avatar and allow him to put some serious pressure on the young man. As he jumped over Katsuro's knives the chi blocker took off. A quick yet cautious sprint, towards the bender as he put on his acrobatic display. The first block headed towards Katsuro, was quickly avoided by simply doing a quick roll off to the right. The roll was done with such grace and speed that it would not cut into Katsuro's speed. Allowing him to narrowly miss the slab by just about thre or four inches. Using his momentum to propel him back onto his feet and move. The distance between them was closing and it had dropped from seventeen feet to fourteen. Then the second slab came at Katsuro, he couldn't afford to pass up this chance. The memory of what happened last time he jumped still fresh in his mind Katsuro's skipped over the one meter high slab of rock.

Making sure that he barely cleared it, the distance between them would ensure he would hit the ground before any other attack arrived. However his opponent's landing wasn't so clean either, and it caused him to roll back. The roll would open up some distance, but Katsuro kept on it. That is until the young avatar announced airbending. Now this was about to get dangerous, a well placed gust could take him right off this platform. Producing three more knives Katsuro lobbed them at him, hoping for a reaction but he simple flipped over them. He kept moving though, he was going to airbend the distance between them would be dangerous. He had to close it extremely fast. Ten feet, as the avatar down with his foot, fully expecting a powerful gust of air Katsuro, quickly sidestepped before he completed the motion. The close proximity he had meant that he had to assume the arc of the attack before it was completed. Anything less would result in a direct hit at this distance. Since the kick was downwards a side step seemed best. Katsuro quickly and expertly moved himself out of the legs line of fire, and when he didn't feel any air, he assumed that he had avoided the attack. Never would he had assumed that the boastful avatar could not airbend. When he came down the distance between them was just above two feet and the second the avatar hit the ground with no damage to Katsuro he pounced. It would take simply half a step to put him within striking distance. The jabs were swift and required Katsuro to simply extend his arm. Their purpose not being external damage or immediate pain they required now winding up. Katsuro launched launched three quick jabs at the persons arm, hitting crucial points along it, blocking chi and if it connected causing his arm below the elbow to possibly fall limp. Whether it connected or not he would need to move his feet to avoid. So at the same time Katsuro brought his right foot to bear against the avatar's right shin which would cause his legs to buckle under his weight. Of course he could easily get up, but those precious seconds could be used for some more strikes against him. There was no reason to even look where he was striking. Instead he could focus on his opponents movements. Years of working with his mother and studying this style, he had these places memorized on the body. He had to know them by heart for moments like this.

Techniques

As he came down, the opponent made sure to close the distance. If he were to break his promise, he would have used some fire bending to shoot over and create more distance. However, he told the crowd he was going to Earth Bend and put himself in this position. A series of jabs would hit his arm, making the young bender grind his teeth in pain. This would cause Raizo's arm to go limp, and as he went to flip back and try to get distance after the opponent went for the leg attack, he'd hit the ground on his shoulder. The flip put about four feet between them, and with one of Raizo's arms now limp, the Avatar would narrow his eyes towards the opponent. "I totally let you do that to make this match more intense..But..what the hell! Why can't I move my arm anymore? Did you inject me with something?" He remained on the ground while holding his limp arm with his free hand. Apparently this opponent wasn't as weak as he originally thought. That was interesting..but he'd never admit he got the best of him. Raizo would need to think of an excuse later.

Success, well not entirely, he was more hoping to get a few more strikes in. Maybe immobilize the leg to weaken his bending even more. However you have to take what you could get and Katsuro was fairly happy with what he had managed to achieve so far. The strikes would render right right arm of the avatar temporarily paralyzed and incapable of bending for some time. With that he now had a somewhat safer avenue, to move in for more strikes. In the avatar's attempt to escape however had put a distance of four feet between them. His opponent quickly made remarks about how he allowed that to happen to allow the match to get even more intense. Which while Katsuro doubted that is the reason why it happened it certainly had. Some members of the crowd roared with all their might and others were simply stunned that the boy had actually gotten hit. Especially after the match previously when Katsuro had been beaten in pretty much no time at all. At the question of poison it got Katsuro thinking, there was no reason to let him know right away what happened. Eventually he would figure out what happened for himself, however by then it just might be too late. The element of surprise was his greatest weapon and he was not about to simply give it up. "There really is only one way to find out Avatar." Katsuro moved his hands into a quick stance, along the way repeating the throwing motion with his right hand. Three blades emerged from his sleeve and were sent towards the avatar. They were aimed at his shins, and behind them was Katsuro. Cautiously yet quick approaching his right side of his opponent. The immobile arm, he was ready at a moments notice to avoid an attack. How would he launch it once he arrived there though? He wasn't entirely sure of that though, depended on how the avatar reacted to his advance.

Tch this was becoming a pain. The opponent had him exactly where they wanted..With one arm down, things were sure to get even worst during the battle. Once the opponent moved his arm again, Raizo would slam his fist to the ground and cause a piece of rock to fling up and take his feet. It'd cause him to flip up onto his shoulders and then roll to the side to reclaim his footing. The rock, on the other hand, would block the projectiles altogether. He'd then kick it forward towards the opponent while back stepping to the edge of the arena. This made the drop behind him about 2 feet from the back of his feet. The Avatar would grind his teeth once again, before giving a thumbs up to the crowd. The roars did nothing but hype him up, as he raised on good arm towards his opponent to egg him on. "Doesn't matter if I know. All it'll take is one arm to beat you anyway! Heh, I'm the best at what I do, after all!" As he spoke, he began to slide the tip of his foot across the earth infront of him. There were limitations when it came to his Earth Bending. He was no where near being a master..However, he still had some tricks up his sleeve.

In response to Katsuro's second part of his strike the young avatar would slam the ground. This would cause a slab of rock to shoot up and flip him. Consequently this would end up blocking the knives. There was no reason to wait for the knives to hit their location. Even if they missed the rock, which they didn't the avatar was gone from the location. They would have done absolutely nothing but hit air. As the avatar would flip up Katsuro would move diagonally to the right. Changing his direction, and opening his right hand to produce a few more knives to throw. As he rolled Katsuro estimated his location. It truly was not hard when he started to extend his legs once more to begin standing back up. It was a fairly easy thing to notice, he had done it a million times itself. When you preform something constantly realizing it's key markers is quite easy. Katsuro threw three knives at the avatar as he would come out of his roll. It would be interesting to see what he could do quick enough to avoid them. With his roll it put him back at most two more feet, and Katsuro's diagonal movement moved him right two and ahead two. This meant at the time of throwing there was a four foot distance between the two combatants.

These were aimed a little differently, instead going for his his left and right shoulder. The middle one would hit his collarbone if it connected, simply because there was nowhere else to go. Not fatal unless he like, moved and caught it in his neck but sure as hell would be painful. Katsuro would continue at a cautious yet quick pace towards his opponent. The rock which was not particularly high or wide in the first place would pass by him, should it have been kicked forward still. Katsuro was hoping to close the distance, hopefully putting the young avatar down quickly if possible. However he was only using one or two elements so far, there was another two he had to worry about.

As he rolled, the opponent would have thrown even more knives his way. However, Raizo noticed something..This opponent was getting way too greedy. Way too aggressive. If anything, he took a page out of the Avatar's own book of combat. This was when the Avatar would need to make a sacrifice..Moving his shoulder to the side, he'd dodge the knife on the far right, while the middle on would graze his chest, and the last would stab into his arm. The opponent had continued his approach through this attack and showed no signs of slowing down; closing the distance between them to only 2 feet. With the knife stabbing into his arm, Raizo was forced to take forceful step back towards the ledge. To the opponent, it would look like he was trying to create distance from the upcoming demise..but in reality, that step was an earth bending maneuver. With the opponent being so close, he'd be caught it in aswell. The small section of the platform they both stood upon would sudden flip up like a spatula flipping a patty in the air. This would send both contestants flying off the arena and towards the cold waters below.

Katsuro was quite shocked when his opponent simply turned to take the blade to his arm. The way he moved seemed to be that to avoid the weapons to his still functioning areas. Seemed like he was willing to sacrifice more damage to these parts of his body that were no longer of use to him. Seemed to identify the type of fighter he was dealing with to be honest. Somebody that would do anything to win, if it was of no use to them, they may very well be ready to throw it away. Then with a quick step, the true surprise came, as Katsuro thought nothing of it until it was too late. The movement of the avatar would manipulate the ground around them causing them both to go airborne. Throwing both participants from the platform and towards the freezing cold water below. Katsuro was too far away from the ledge to grab it so chances were that the avatar was too. Doing a quick front flip Katsuro preformed an elegant dive towards the water below. The cool refreshing water welcome too his tired body. As he swum is way back up to the platform however he wondered if he should go help the avatar. Swimming with one hand wasn't exactly fun or easy, then again he was probably adept at water bending so he would be fine probably.

As the Avatar watched his opponent twirl in the air to land in the water, he himself would instead focus a jet of flames below the soles of his feet. This would cause the boy to shoot sideways and into the wall before bouncing off of it, out of control. Spiraling through the air, the fire bender would be yelling as he'd go rocketing into the stands and causing a rather small explosion of flames. Once the smoke cleared, his head would be stuck in the lap on a rather large woman. She had caught him, and had him in a grapple like hug..On her shirt was pictures of his face and letters that spelled out his name. She was obviously a big fan of his. Raizo would try to free himself from the woman's clutches, but with one of his arms stabbed and numb..he was fighting a losing battle. "D-damn it lady! Let go of me already! My arm is freaking killing me! H-Help! Someone save me from this crazy chick!" The crowd only roared louder, as the officials, and his Fire bending Masters, went to pry him from the woman's hands and bandage up his arm. Throughout all this, the Avatar would be yelling for freedom..Oh how the tables had turned..

It would appear that the avatar was far more aware of his possible inability to swim than Katsuro was. That or he fell into the water and didn't come back up and now people were panicking. Katsuro thought about his actions leading to the death of another, especially a fellow countryman and someone who too his knowledge did not deserve it. For a second he contemplated turning around and jumping into the water to the save the boy. Instead however halfway through his motion he noticed the ruckus further up into the stands. Security was running over there and there seemed to be a large crowd. "So that's where he landed huh?.. Katsuro smiled out of satisfaction and relief. Satisfaction that it seemed that the kid must have been quite hurt for all the ruckus, and Relief knowing that he would more than likely be safe for now. With that he began walking into the tunnel, there was no reason to head back up into the stadium right now.
